What Breathwork Consist of:
Breathwork is a somatic practice that fosters a connection to your body, helping release built-up tension and trauma. It consists of six key elements:
1. Connected breathing
2. Movement
3. Touch
4. Sound
5. Emotional release
6. Meditation

How Breathwork Helps:
Breathwork supports emotional healing by working directly with the nervous system. Using connected breathing, we gently activate the fight-or-flight response (sympathetic nervous system) to help the body access and release stored tension and trauma.
In a safe, guided space, we move between activation and rest, a process called pendulation, to support nervous system regulation. This helps the rest-and-digest state (parasympathetic nervous system) come online, allowing the body to release held energy. You may experience tears, tingling, temperature shifts, or emotional waves, signs of healing and release.
Each session may also include intentional movement, sound, and therapeutic touch to support trauma release and reconnection to a grounded, present self.
What to Expect From a Breathwork Session:
In your first breathwork session, we’ll review your intake form, discuss any physical limitations or touch preferences, and set your intention for the session. I’ll introduce the six elements of breathwork and explain key somatic therapy concepts like resourcing, pendulation, and titration.
Sessions typically include 2–3 cycles of active breathing and resourcing, with suggestions for movement, sound, or touch, which are all optional and based on your comfort. We’ll close with a meditation for integration and a brief check-in to reflect on your experience.
Breathwork is not talk therapy. You’re not required to share personal stories or trauma unless you want to. The focus is on tuning into your body, emotions, and honoring what feels safe.
People may feel a release after just one session. More noticeable transformation tends to emerge between the 4th and 6th sessions. For long-term transformation, a series of ten guided sessions are recommended, though frequency depends on your comfort, capacity, and goals.
